This policy explains what personal information BAKCHODS ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, express interest in a trip, book, or attend an event, and how we use it.

1. What we collect

• Interest and list sign-up forms: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, city, age or age range, which trips or formats you're interested in, whether you hold the required travel documents, and how soon you plan to book.
• Bookings: in addition to the above, passport details, date of birth, emergency contact, dietary or accessibility needs you choose to share, and payment confirmation. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, DM, or WhatsApp.
• Website usage: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, and referral source, collected through cookies and similar tools (see section 5).
• Photos and video: taken at our trips and events, as described in our Terms.

2. How we use it

• To reply to you and send the trip details you asked for.
• To organize and run your trip or event, including sharing what suppliers need (for example, passport details with a hotel or airline, or your name with a festival for ticketing).
• To tell you about future trips and events. You can opt out at any time by replying "stop" or emailing us.
• To keep the group safe, including sharing emergency-contact details with your trip captain.
• To improve this website and our advertising.
• To comply with legal obligations, such as tax records.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed: with travel suppliers for your booking; with the tools we use to run the business (email, messaging, form handling, CRM, payment processing, and analytics providers); with advertising platforms such as Meta for measuring ad performance (see section 5); and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

4. International transfers

We organize trips across borders and use service providers in the United States, India, and the EU. Your information may be processed in those places. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

5. Cookies, pixels, and analytics

This site may use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure whether our Instagram and Facebook ads lead to sign-ups. These tools may collect your device identifiers and browsing activity on this site. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of Meta ad personalization through your Facebook or Instagram settings.

6. How long we keep it

Interest-form details are kept while we're actively running trips you may be interested in and for up to 24 months after your last contact with us. Booking records are kept for as long as required for tax and legal purposes, typically 7 years. Photos and video may be kept and used indefinitely unless you ask us to remove you.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

8. Children

Our trips and events are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure, and you share information at your own risk.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be flagged on this page.
